Re: Drill music
Branded understands. It’s the music of an underclass with its own story to tell

The fusion of murder music and televisuals
is a pretty radical form of culture

Imagine what punk and oi sounded like to Middle Aged folk when it started

99% of it is shit and the people involved are utter cunts but they really are the product of a fucked up environment

Re: Drill music
Drill music has had its day mate and the teletext headlines last week said the scene is dead mate. Only grandads and simpletons still brock out to it.

Any one else on here into Egg Whisk ?

Part of the house utensils sub genre - a very industrial sort of sound - heavy dark & frothy - and very on trend amongst those in the know and the Bruce Forsyth admiration community In dulwich which is where the scene sprang from. Dippy egg crew.

Ive also started getting into Garden Rake lately - a very seedy and dense unwoke scene where games of kerplunk are played while in an mdma tits and minge frenzy. This naughty fresh genre received mad publicity recently when Danny Dyer attended a Garden Rake party high on Sarsons vinegar. Its a Maddness bruff.

Made by cunts for cunts!

Funniest thing I've read lately was a report about knife crime that claimed Drill music wasn't responsible but austerity cutbacks were.

The only drill music worth listening to is by Graham Coxon at the end of Bugman on Blur's majestic album '13'.

I don’t mind some of it.
Op mentioned Harlem Spartans, there’s one fella who’s in that “group” who’s banged up now but could rap properly. Some of it is good but a lot sounds like out of tune shit.

Ha.

You would think a creative hip music exec. like yourself could come up with a new, less boring insult.

You sure you as big in the post-morris scene as you say?

True. Wasn't your older brother on cutting edge of the morris dance music craze?

What do you want them to make? Country blues? Psychedelic rock?

You never want to make or listen to the music your elder brother made or listened to because you’ll look like a cunt.

Re: Drill music
Being a honky who’s reached middle age I can remain blissfully unaware of this genre.

The few vids I’ve seen on YouTube I was quite impressed by their video skills. Some of them were at least paying attention in their IT lessons at school.

Other than that most of it seems very stabby and negative.

Reading the comments under one of the videos they had a load of kids from Chicago and London beefing on it (ours are influenced by Chicago drill it would seem) It would appear that they saw the murder rates of their respective cities as some sort of measure of the merit of their scenes. Needless to say, Chicago won on that front.
